Baiyun Liu, M.D.

Professor and Chief of Neurotrauma Unit, Department of Neurosurgery; Director of Neurotrauma Laboratory, Beijing Tian Tan Hospital, Capital Medical University, China; Vice Director of Nerve Injury and Repair Center of Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders, Beijing, China.

Dr. Liu received his medical degree in 1985. He finished his resident training in Jilin Provincial Hospital in 1992 and joined Beijing Tian Tan Hospital in 1995. Dr.Liu has a strong interest in clinical and experimental traumatic brain injury, and more recently guidelines about TBI surgery, such as technical notes of decompressive craniectomy. He is author of over 130 peer-reviewed publications in Chinese and English, and is a member of the editorial board of Neural Regeneration Research, Chinese Journal of Traumatology, and so on. He was a Past Chairman of Neurotrauma Training Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and he is the Chairman of Chinese Medical Association TBI appropriate technical training base since 2012. He received State Scientific and Technological Progress Award (second-class) in 2016 in traumatic brain injury.
